It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that packages and contents within boxes, barrels, etc. being shipped are properly packed, taped and secured. JFL (Joseph Freight Ltd) is not responsible for damages to packages and furniture that are not adequately packed. Furthermore, JFL is not responsible for items exceeding a value of US $150.00 per box, barrel, or item. If the sum exceeds US $150.00, original receipts of goods must be presented at time of shipment and an 10% insurance cost will be charged. If customers do not wish to pay the insurance cost, the maximum liability of JFL in the event of loss or damage will be US$150.00 per box, barrel, or item. In case of a natural disaster, loss of container, accident, or the like, the maximum liability of JFL will be US$100.00 per box, barrel or item being shipped. JFL is not responsible for delays caused by the shipping line. JFL will not be responsible for items abandoned more than 30 days. A fee of $1.00 per day will be charged after 30 days and after 90 days, JFL will sell these items to recover shipping and storage costs.
